On May 2, 2025, The Economist featured “The Taiwan Test” as its cover story, highlighting Taiwan as the central focal point in the power struggle among global superpowers. This was not the first time a major international media outlet used this phrase. Back in 2024, Time Magazine placed Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te on its cover, accompanied by the same title: “The Taiwan Test.”

For those who walk in the Spirit, this is more than a journalistic coincidence. It is a divine moment of alignment—a convergence where “heavenly words and earthly events” meet. We are witnessing the unfolding of God’s kingdom agenda, not just in theory, but now taking place on earth, in real time.。

A Prophetic Warning from 2021: Chuck Pierce Proclaimed, “Taiwan is in the Test”

This prophetic phrase was first spoken in 2021 by Chuck Pierce as a word specifically directed toward Taiwan. He declared with clarity and urgency: “Taiwan is in the test.” Taiwan was about to enter a time of testing.

The following year, in 2022, Pastor Matt Lockett from the United States, along with his intercessory team, visited Taiwan. During a gathering in Tainan, he publicly quoted this very word and even displayed the current cover of Time Magazine, which featured Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te alongside the headline “Taiwan Test.” The alignment between Chuck’s prophetic word and the magazine’s title was striking.

God is speaking through different systems, releasing the same message again and again:
This is a time to awaken, align, and prepare.

A Passover Word in 2025: Chuck Pierce Speaks Again to Taiwan

During this year’s Passover, Elder Andrew Chang from the TOD Taiwan led a delegation of workplace leaders from Taiwan, the U.S., and Canada to attend the Glory of Zion gathering in America.

At that gathering, Chuck Pierce once again released a clear prophetic word concerning Taiwan—revealing its spiritual destiny, identity, and divine strategy:

“The enemy seeks to entrap you,
but I have surrounded you on every side as your shield.
The enemy cannot penetrate the protection I have set around you.
As long as you walk in My ways, this shield will remain unshakable.

The great dragon that rules seeks to scorch Taiwan into ashes.
But I declare: Taiwan will raise a voice greater than that of the dragon!
Now is the time for you to arise!

Within five years, when the world looks at you,
they will see Me among you.
My voice will resound loudly in Taiwan,
and you shall be protected in My hand.

When the enemy rises up to attack, do not fear—
every weapon formed against you will not prosper.
For the next three years, My shield remains firm.

In the next two years, rise up!
The destinies of nations will hinge upon their response
to the connection between Taiwan and Israel.
I say to you: From this day forward, the atmosphere is shifting!”

This is not merely a word of encouragement—it is a spiritual map and battle plan. It calls us not to retreat or stay in defensive positions, but to rise up and move forward with boldness and courage.

At the Turning Point: Who Will Align with the Lord?

Chuck Pierce also declared:

“God is looking for a group of people who will stand at the threshold, speak to the storm, and command it to retreat.”

Remarkably, The Economist article echoed this very language—describing Taiwan as approaching a “tipping point” under mounting pressure. While the media calls it a stress test, those who belong to God must see it differently: this is actually a threshold moment, a divine opening to Taiwan’s prophetic destiny.

“Do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.”

Now is not the time to wait for crisis and then pray. Now is the time to take your position. Now is the time to speak forth with authority.

In the Midst of Shaking: How Will We Respond with Spiritual Resilience?

This “Taiwan Test” is not a test of government capability—it is a test of whether the Church and the marketplace are aligned with God. We offer the following three practical challenges in response:

1. Are you cultivating spiritual resilience and alignment?

Both individuals and organizations must be prepared with spiritual resilience and the capacity to stay aligned with heaven. This is more than a crisis response plan—it is a test of faith. In a world shaken on every side, who will still be found standing?

2. Are you part of a spiritual alliance?

Lone rangers are easy prey for the enemy. But those who are joined in kingdom alliances, covered in prayer and mutual accountability, will be upheld even in the fiercest shaking.

3. Are you standing at the spiritual tipping point, speaking to the storm?

God is looking for voices—those who will speak not from retreat, but from the frontlines of business, cities, and this nation. This is not a time to hide from the storm. It is a time to prophesy to it.

Earthly Superpowers vs. Heavenly Superpower

《In its recent article, The Economist wrote:
“A superpower crunch over Taiwan is coming.”
Here, “superpower” refers to the earthly forces—global powers entangled in political confrontation.

But when we put on spiritual lenses, we see another kind of Superpower at work: the power and government of heaven.

While the superpowers of the earth may seek to suppress Taiwan,
the Superpower of heaven is preparing to speak through Taiwan!

So the question is:
Are you seeing a tipping point of crisis, or a threshold for divine transformation?

The lens you wear will determine how you pray—and how much faith you carry in this hour.

Taiwan and America Standing from the Same Root

In 2024, during a gathering in Tainan, Pastor Matt shared how God used the root system of the poplar tree to reveal a prophetic insight: Taiwan and the United States share the same spiritual root. The revivals and shakings in America are deeply connected to what is unfolding in Taiwan.

Pastor Matt explained that the roots of poplar trees are interconnected, forming a vast underground network. Interestingly, each individual tree is not counted as an isolated unit—they are referred to as a “stand.”

He pointed out how this mirrors the exhortation in Ephesians 6:

“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power… and having done all, to stand.”

To stand firm is not just a personal posture—it is a divine command to Taiwan in this critical hour.

Conclusion: Whose Test Is the Taiwan Test?

2025: The Eyes of the World Are on Taiwan.
Global media are sounding alarms, worried that the next flashpoint of war may erupt in the Taiwan Strait. But the voice of the Lord declares:

“My voice will resound mightily in Taiwan, and she will be protected in My hand.”

This Taiwan Test is not merely a test of government or diplomacy.
It is a spiritual test for the Church in Taiwan:

• Have we taken our positions at the threshold, standing in alignment with God, declaring His word into the storm?
• Are we standing firm on the foundation of prophetic promises, boldly proclaiming that Taiwan is victorious and the tide is turning?

Taiwan, stand firm! Stay the course!
